Problem statement

In this program, we will create a Vector collection with string elements. Then we will remove all elements of the Vector collection using the removeAllElements() method.

Source Code

The source code to remove all elements of Vector collection using the removeAllElements() method is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Java program to remove all elements of Vector collection
// using the removeAllElements() method

import java.util.*;

public class Main {
  public static void main(String[] args) {
    Vector < String > vec = new Vector < String > ();

    vec.add("CAR");
    vec.add("BUS");
    vec.add("BIKE");
    vec.add("BUS");
    vec.add("TRUCK");

    System.out.println("Vector elements: " + vec);

    vec.removeAllElements();
    System.out.println("Vector elements: " + vec);
  }
}

Output

Vector elements: [CAR, BUS, BIKE, BUS, TRUCK]
Vector elements: []

Explanation

In the above program, we imported the "java.util.*" package to use the Vector class. Here, we created a public class Main.

The Main class contains a main() method. The main() method is the entry point for the program. And, created a Vector collection vec with string elements. Then we used the removeAllElements() method to remove elements from vector vec and set its size to zero.
