How to write data bytes into a file in Golang?
Problem Solution:
In this program, we will create a file and write data bytes into a text file using os.Write() function.
Program/Source Code:
The source code to write data bytes into a file is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.
Golang code to write data bytes into a file
// Golang program to write bytes
// into the file
package main
import "os"
import "fmt"
func main() {
Myfile, err := os.OpenFile("Sample.txt", os.O_WRONLY|os.O_CREATE, 0666)
if err != nil {
fmt.Println("Unable to open file")
}
data := []byte("Hello World\n")
len, err := Myfile.Write(data)
if err != nil {
fmt.Println("Unable to write bytes into file")
}
fmt.Printf("%d bytes written into file.\n", len)
Myfile.Close()
}
Output:
12 bytes written into file.
Explanation:
In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt, os packages then we can use a function related to the fmt and os package.
In the main() function, we created a file "Sample.txt" and write the "Hello World\n" message using os.Write() function and print the total number of bytes written into the file.
