Printing the permissions of the existing file in Golang
Problem Solution:
In this program, we will get the permissions of the existing file and print the result on the console screen.
Program/Source Code:
The source code to print the permissions of an existing file is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.
Golang code to print the permissions of the existing file
// Golang program to print the permissions
// of an existing file
package main
import "os"
import "fmt"
func main() {
MyFile, err := os.Stat("Sample.txt")
if err != nil {
fmt.Println("File does not exist")
}
fmt.Println("File Permissions:", MyFile.Mode())
}
Output:
File Permissions: -rw-r--r--
Explanation:
In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt, os packages then we can use a function related to the fmt and os package.
In the main() function, we get the file pointer MyFile using os.State() for existing file and then we get the permissions of an existing file using the Mode() function. After that, we printed the result on the console screen.
