How to print the percentage sign ('%') on the console screen in Golang?
Problem Solution:
In this program, we will calculate a percentage based on subjects. After that, we will print the calculated percentage with the "%" sign using the "%%" specifier on the console screen.
Program/Source Code:
The source code to print "%" on the console screen using the fmt.printf() function is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.
Golang code to print the percentage sign ('%') on the console screen
// Golang program to print "%" on the console screen
// using fmt.printf() function
package main
import "fmt"
func main() {
var sub1 int = 50
var sub2 int = 60
var sub3 int = 72
var per float32 = 0
per = (float32)(sub1+sub2+sub3) / 3
fmt.Printf("Percentage: %f%%\n", per)
}
Output:
Percentage: 60.666668%
Explanation:
In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package then we can use a function related to the fmt
In the main() function, we created four variables sub1, sub2, sub3, per that are initialized with 50, 60, 72, 0 respectively. Then we calculated the percentage based on subjects. After that, we printed the calculated percentage with "%" sign using the "%%" format specifier on the console screen.
