Checking Palindrome Number in Golang
Problem Solution:
In this program, we will read an integer number and check number is palindrome or not and print the appropriate message on the console screen.
Program/Source Code:
The source code to find the given number is palindrome or not using the for loop is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.
Golang code to check the given number is palindrome or not using for loop
// GoLang program to find the given number is palindrome or not
// using "for" loop.
package main
import "fmt"
func main() {
var num int = 0
var rev int = 0
var rem int = 0
var tmp int = 0
fmt.Print("Enter Number: ")
fmt.Scanf("%d", &num)
tmp = num
for num > 0 {
rem = num % 10
rev = rev*10 + rem
num = num / 10
}
if tmp == rev {
fmt.Printf("Given number is palindrome")
} else {
fmt.Printf("Given number is not palindrome")
}
}
Output:
RUN 1:
Enter Number: 34543
Given number is palindrome
RUN 2:
Enter Number: 1235
Given number is not palindrome
Explanation:
In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.
In the main() function, we created four variables num, rev, rem, tmp that are initialized with 0. Then we read an integer number from the user and checked the given number is palindrome or not. After that, we printed the appropriate message on the console screen.
