Checking the specified substring is the prefix of the given string in Golang
Problem Solution:
In this program, we will check the specified substring is the prefix of a given string using strings.HasPrefix() function and print result on the console screen.
Program/Source Code:
The source code to demonstrate the strings.HasPrefix() function is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.
Golang code to check the specified substring is the prefix of the given string
// Golang program to check the specified substring
// is the prefix of the given string.
package main
import "fmt"
import "strings"
func main() {
var str string = "India"
var substr string = "In"
var result bool = false
result = strings.HasPrefix(str, substr)
if result == true {
fmt.Println("Yes")
} else {
fmt.Println("No")
}
}
Output:
Yes
Explanation:
In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.
In the main() function, we created three variables str, substr, result that are initialized with "India", "In", "false" respectively. Then we used strings.HasPrefix() function to check the prefix of specified string.
