Problem Solution:

In this program, we will check a specified file has readable permission or not using the File.readable?() method and print the appropriate message.

The source code to check a file has readable permission or not is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on Windows 10 Operating System successfully.

# Ruby program to check a file has 
# readable permission or not

result = File.readable?("MyFile.txt");

if (result == true)
  print ("File has readable permission.\n");
else
  print ("File has not readable permission.\n");
end

Output:

File has readable permission.

Explanation:

In the above program, we checked the "MyFile.txt" file has readable permission or not using the File.readable?() method and printed the appropriate message.
