Here, we will learn about the LocalPath property of the Uri class. This is an instance property of the Uri class which is used to get the local Operating System representation of a filename.

This property returns string value for OS representation of file name. This property may generate System.InvalidOperationException exception.

Program:

The source code to demonstrate the use of LocalPath property of Uri class is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

using System;

class UriExample
{
    //Entry point of Program
    static public void Main()
    {
        Uri domainUri;
        Uri domainUri1;

        domainUri = new Uri("http://www.includehelp.com:8082/article.html");
        domainUri1 = new Uri("file://MyServer/article.ext");

        Console.WriteLine(domainUri.LocalPath);
        Console.WriteLine(domainUri1.LocalPath);
    }
}

Output:

/article.html
\\myserver\article.ext
Press any key to continue . . .

In the above program, we created two objects of the Uri class to demonstrate the local OS representation of filename.
