Problem Solution:
In this program, we will get the current day of the week using the strftime() method of Time class and print the result.
Program/Source Code:
The source code to get the current day of the week (Sunday is 0) using the strftime() method is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.
# Ruby program to get the current
# day of the week (Sunday is 0)
# using strftime() method
time = Time.new();
CurrentDayNumberOfWeek = time.strftime("%w");
print "Current day number of week is: ",CurrentDayNumberOfWeek;
Output:
Current day number of week is: 2
Explanation:
In the above program, we created the object of the Time class. Then we got the current day of the week where SUNDAY is 0, using the strftime() method with "%w" as an argument, and printed the result.
