Golang goto Statement Example – Check palindrome number
Problem Solution:
In this program, we will read an integer number and then check the given number is palindrome or not?
Golang code to check the given number is palindrome or not using goto statement
Program/Source Code:
The source code to check the given number is palindrome or not using the goto statement is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.
// Golang program to check the given number is palindrome or not
// using the goto statement
package main
import "fmt"
func main() {
var num int = 0
var rev int = 0
var rem int = 0
var temp int = 0
fmt.Print("Enter Number: ")
fmt.Scanf("%d", &num)
temp = num
MyLbl:
rem = num % 10
rev = rev*10 + rem
num = num / 10
if num > 0 {
goto MyLbl
}
if temp == rev {
fmt.Printf("Number is palindrome")
} else {
fmt.Printf("Number is not palindrome")
}
}
Output:
RUN 1:
Enter Number: 1234321
Number is palindrome
RUN 2:
Enter Number: 123432
Number is not palindrome
Explanation:
Here, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.
In the main() function, we created four variables num, rev, rem, temp that are initialized with 0 and also created a label MyLbl.
MyLbl:
rem = num % 10
rev = rev*10+rem
num = num / 10
if(num>0){
goto MyLbl
}
if(temp==rev){
fmt.Printf("Number is palindrome")
}else{
fmt.Printf("Number is not palindrome")
}
In the above code, we checked the given number is palindrome or not by finding the reverse of a number. Here we divided the number till it becomes 0. After that, we printed the appropriate message on the console screen.
