What is the full form of NDTV?

NDTV is an abbreviation of New Delhi Television. It is an Indian television media company, a highly regarded news channel network in India.
In 1988, it is founded by Radhika Roy and Prannoy Roy. It is India's first and biggest private TV channel associated with news, current affairs, and entertainment. The majority of the country’s most excellent and well-known reporters are part of this channel. It has around 23 offices and studios all over the country. Its head office is situated in New Delhi, India.

NDTV Brief History
- In 1989, it had created and produced 'The World This Week' which was rated amongst India's top five programs.
- In 1990, it had produced the live coverage of the annual Union Budget.
- On August 31, 1994, the company acquired a brand new certificate of merging and its category of position was changed from private limited to a public limited company.
- In 1997, it came into a bond agreement with STAT/NTVI for producing news content for its 24 hours news channel.
- It won the Asian Television Award for Best News Programme in Asia for Star-News and BDA International Award for Star News.
- In 1998, it began producing content for the Star-News channel, launched NDTV Online with MSNBC and considered to be the co-runner-up for the Best Current Affairs Programme in Asia.
- In 2000, it had begun the production of non-news programs like Yes Minister for BBC Hindi.
- In 2001, it came into a bond agreement with Vijay TV for the production of Tamil news programs and won 6 Hero Honda ITA Awards.
- On April 14, 2003, it launched two news channels, NDTV 24x7 and NDTV India.
- In 2004, it turned out to be an independent news broadcaster and joined together with WorldSpace to air news.
- On January 17, 2005, it launched its business channel NDTV Profit.
- In 2006, it came into a strategic coalition association with Karan Johar and Dharma Productions.
- In September 2007, NDTV introduced India’s first city channel, "Metro Nation".
- As of July 2008, the board of directors of NDTV permitted the establishment of a new company for the studio, production facilities, etc.
