Submitted by Nidhi, on May 31, 2021
Problem Solution:
Here, we will find the size of the variable using the MemoryLayout.size() method and print the result on the console screen.
Program/Source Code:
The source code to print the size of variables is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.
// Swift program to print the size of variables
import Swift;
var var1:Int = 10;
var var2:Float = 10.24;
var var3:Bool = true;
print("Size of var1 : ",MemoryLayout.size(ofValue: var1));
print("Size of var2 : ",MemoryLayout.size(ofValue: var2));
print("Size of var3 : ",MemoryLayout.size(ofValue: var3));
Output:
Size of var1 : 8
Size of var2 : 4
Size of var3 : 1
...Program finished with exit code 0
Press ENTER to exit console.
Explanation:
In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,
import Swift;
Here, we created three variables of different types. Then we found the size of created variables using the MemoryLayout.size() method and printed the result on the console screen.
