Swift program to calculate the symmetric difference between two Set collections
Here, we are going to learn how to calculate the symmetric difference between two Set collections in Swift programming language?
Submitted by Nidhi, on June 28, 2021
Problem Solution:
Here, we will create two sets of integer elements using the Set collection. Then we will calculate the symmetric difference between created sets using symmetricDifference() function.
Program/Source Code:
The source code to calculate the symmetric difference between two Set collections is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.
// Swift program to calculate the symmetric difference
// between two Set collections
import Swift
var FirstSet:Set<Int> = [2,3,5]
var SecondSet:Set<Int> = [1,2,6]
print("First set : ",FirstSet)
print("Second set: ",SecondSet)
print("Symmetric difference: ",FirstSet.symmetricDifference(SecondSet))
Output:
First set : [2, 3, 5]
Second set: [1, 2, 6]
Symmetric difference: [6, 5, 3, 1]
...Program finished with exit code 0
Press ENTER to exit console.
Explanation:
In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,
import Swift
Here, we created two sets FirstSet, SecondSet that contains integer elements. Then we used the symmetricDifference() function to calculate the symmetric difference between two sets and printed the result on the console screen.
