Scala program to get the Euler's number e raised to the power of a Double number using scala.math.exp() function

Here, we are going to learn how to get the Euler's number e raised to the power of a Double number (scala.math.exp() function) in Scala programming language?

scala.math.exp() Function Example

Here, we will read a double number from the user and get the Euler's number e raised to the power using scala.math.exp() function and print the result on the console screen.

Scala code to get the Euler's number e raised to the power of a Double number

The source code to get the Euler's number e raised to the power of a Double number is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

// Scala program to get the Euler's number
// e raised to the power of a Double number

object Sample{
    def main(args:Array[String]){
        var num:Double    = 0;
        var res:Double = 0;

        print("Enter number: ")
        num=scala.io.StdIn.readDouble()

        res= scala.math.exp(num)
        println("result: "+res);
    }
}

Output

Enter number: 34.56
result: 1.0214504276176618E15

Explanation

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. Here, we created an object Sample. We defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In the main() function, we created two variables num, res that are initialized with 0. Then we read the value of the num variable from the user and then we got the Euler's number e raised to the power of a given double number using scala.math.exp() function and printed the result on the console screen.
