scala.math.toDegrees() Function Example
Here, we will read a double number from the user and convert the given radian value into a degree using scala.math.toDegrees() function and print the result on the console screen.
Scala code to convert the angle measured radian to a degree
The source code to convert the angle measured radian to the degree is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.
// Scala program to convert the angle measured
// radian to degree
object Sample{
def main(args:Array[String]){
var num:Double = 0;
var res:Double = 0;
print("Enter radian: ")
num=scala.io.StdIn.readDouble()
res= scala.math.toDegrees(num)
println("Angle in degree: "+res);
}
}
Output
Enter radian: 2
Angle in degree: 114.59155902616465
Explanation
In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. Here, we created an object Sample. We defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.
In the main() function, we created two variables num, res that are initialized with 0. Then we read the value of the num variable from the user and then we converted the given number measured in radian to a degree using scala.math.toDegrees() function and printed the result on the console screen.
