In this program, we will get the current weekday name using the strftime() method of Time class and print the result.

The source code to get the current weekday name using the strftime() method is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

# Ruby program to get the current weekday name 
# using strftime() method

time = Time.new();
weekday = time.strftime("%A");

print "Weekday is: ",weekday;

Output:

Weekday is: Thursday

Explanation:

In the above program, we created the object of Time class and got the current weekday name using the strftime() method with "%A" as an argument and printed the result.
