Problem Solution:

In this program, we will get the current month of the year out of 12 using the strftime() method of Time class and print the result.

The source code to get the current month of the year using the strftime() method is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

# Ruby program to get the current month of year 
# using strftime() method

time = Time.new();
CurrentMonthOfYear = time.strftime("%m");

print "Current month of year is: ",CurrentMonthOfYear;

Output:

Current month of year is: 02

Explanation:

In the above program, we created the object of the Time class. Then we got the current month of the year out of 12 using the strftime() method with "%m" as an argument and printed the result.
