Ruby program to find the arctangent of the given value

Problem Solution

In this program, we will read a value from the user using gets.chomp.to_f. Then we will find the arctangent of given value using Math.atan() function.

print "Enter value: ";
value = gets.chomp.to_f;  

result = Math.atan(value);
print "Arctangent is: ",result;

Output

Enter value: 0.5
Arc Tangent is: 0.4636476090008061

Explanation

In the above program, we read a value from the user using gets.chomp.to_f and got the arctangent of given value using Math.atan() function and printed the result.
