ThreadGroup Class getMaxPriority() method

  • getMaxPriority() method is available in java.lang package.
  • getMaxPriority() method is used to return the highest priority of the thread exists in this thread group and no thread in this thread group must have a higher priority than the maximum priority.
  • getMaxPriority() method is a non-static method, it is accessible with the class object only and if we try to access the method with the class name then we will get an error.
  • getMaxPriority() method does not throw an exception at the time of returning the maximum priority of this thread group.

Syntax:

    public final int  getMaxPriority();

Parameter(s):

  • It does not accept any parameter.

Return value:

The return type of this method is int – It returns the maximum priority of the thread exists in this thread group.
