Short class intValue() method

  • intValue() method is available in java.lang package.
  • intValue() method is used to return the value denoted by this Short object converted to type int (by casting).
  • intValue() method is a non-static method, it is accessible with the class object only and if we try to access the method with the class name then we will get an error.
  • intValue() method does not throw an exception at the time of conversion from short to int.

Syntax

public int intValue();

Parameters

  • It does not accept any parameter.

Return Value

The return type of this method is int, it returns a converted (from type short to int) value represented by this Short object.
