ResourceBundle Class getObject() method

  • getObject() method is available in java.util package.
  • getObject() method is used to get an object for the given key element (key_ele) from this ResourceBundle or any one of its parent class.
  • getObject() method is a non-static method, it is accessible with the class object only and if we try to access the method with the class name then we will get an error.
  • getObject() method may throw an exception at the time of getting an object.
    • NullPointerException: This exception may throw when the given parameter is null exists.
    • MissingResourceException: This exception may throw when no object exists for the given key element (key_ele).

Syntax:

    public final Object getObject(String key_ele);

Parameter(s):

  • String key_ele – represents the key element whose desired object is to be retrieved.

Return value:

The return type of this method is Object, it returns desired object for the given parameter of this ResourceBundle when exists.
