Duration Class withNanos() method

  • withNanos() method is available in java.time package.
  • withNanos() method is used to represent this Duration with the given nanoseconds.
  • withNanos() method is a non-static method, it is accessible with the class object only and if we try to access the method with the class name then we will get an error.
  • withNanos() method may throw an exception at the time of representing Duration with the given nanoseconds.
    DateTimeException: This exception may throw when the given parameter is not valid.

Syntax:

    public Duration withNanos(int nanos_val);

Parameter(s):

  • int nanos_val – represents nanoseconds to represent this Duration from [0...999,999,999].

Return value:

The return type of this method is Duration, it returns this Duration with the given with the given nanoseconds.
