NT: No Text

NT is an abbreviation of "No Text".

It is an expression, which is commonly used in the Gmail platform. It can also be written as N/T or n/t. It is written in the subject of the mail, if the subject is in itself a message, and the email further has nobody. This reduces the time for both the sender and recipient. For the sender, it works as if the subject itself is a message and no further typing required in the body of the mail. For the receiver, it works as if there is nobody, which means it is empty then the recipient doesn't require opening the mail. Also, it clarifies the recipient that why the email has no internal message and they don't need to worry about if the email is some kind of malware or that the email efficacy is misbehaving for either side.

No Text (NT) Example

Let us take an example to make it easy to understand.

In email Subject, if it is written:

Event Postponed till further Notice: NT

This shows that the mail is itself the message and included in the subject and no need to open the mail and just do the needful.

NT as a Replacement for No Text

Now, these days, the demands of acronyms are very high on social media online chatting or messaging, so the users usually use NT as a replacement for No Text.

So, in this way, the abbreviation NT is used mostly on the social media platform.

While this slang is very common in social media platforms, mainly email messaging, still many are unaware of this slang.

NT Instead of Writing No Text

So, if you want to send an email that has no further body and the entire message is included in the subject itself, then you can use NT instead of writing No Text as a whole, which reduces the time, strong communication occurs, and fewer efforts needed.
