What is the full form of LG?

The following are the full forms of LG:

LG: Lieutenant Governor
LG is an abbreviation of Lieutenant Governor. He is in command and responsible for a union territory in India. On the other hand, the availability of this position is only in the three union territories of India; Delhi, Puducherry and Andaman and the Nicobar Islands.
LG has the same powers and functions in the union territory that a governor has in the state and a president has at the union level. As the governors of the states, the Lieutenant Governors are also appointed by the president of India for a term of five years. He could be terminated by the president of India or can resign from the position.

As of 31 December 2016, Anil Baijal is the current 21st Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, a retired Indian Administrative Service officer preceded by Najeeb Jung. His office is situated at Raj Niwas in Delhi.
Eligibility for the Lieutenant Governor (LG)
Following are the list of eligibility criteria's which should be fulfilled to become a Lieutenant Governor:
- Citizen of India
- At least thirty-five years old
- Should not be a member of the house of the parliament or house of the state legislature
- Should not hold any other office of profit

LG is also an abbreviation of Lucky Goldstar. It is a multinational conglomerate corporation that produces an extensive range of electronic products, telecom products, and chemicals. It is based in South Korea and its head office is situated in Yeouido, Soeol, South Korea.

Lucky Goldstar (LG) Brief History
- In 1958, LG was established as Goldstar by Koo In-Hwoii. It was the first corporation who came into the plastic industry in Korea.
- In 1960, Goldstar manufactured Korea’s first radio.
- In 1995, Goldstar joined forces with Lucky Chemical and it was renamed Lucky Goldstar (LG).
- In 1995, after the union, it obtained Zenith, a US-based TV manufacturer and changed its name to LG Electronics.
- In 1998, the corporation created the first 60-inch plasma TV in the world.
- In 2002, it established the CDMA handset production line in China.
- In 2003, it turned out to be the top manufacturer of CDMA mobile phones.
- In 2004, it introduced the world’s first 55-inch LCD TV and 71-inch plasma TV.
- In 2005, the corporation turned out to be the fourth leading supplier of mobile phones in the world.
- In 2007, it introduced a high definition disc player and 120Hz full HD LCD TV.
