JK Tyre and Industries is an abbreviation of Juggilal Kamlapat Ji Tyres & Industries Ltd. It is an Automobile Tyre, Tubes and Flaps manufacturing company. The name JK of the company is acquired from the initials of Kamlapatji (1884-1937) and his father Juggilal (1857-1922). It is the most significant company in Truck/Bus Radial tire in India and provides the complete collection of 4 wheeler radials for Trucks, Buses, and Cars. JK Tyres & Industries is in the ownership of the J.K. Organisation (a conglomerate of companies). Its head office is situated in New Delhi with a registered office at Kankroli in Rajasthan.

JK Tyres Brief History
- On 14 February 1951, JK Tyre was incepted as a private limited company in West Bengal.
- Until 31 March 1970, the company was occupied in the agency business.
- In February 1972, it acquired a letter of intent to start the manufacturing of automobile tyres and tubes.
- In 2007, its name was changed from JK Industries Ltd to JK Tyre & Industries Ltd.
- In 2008, it bought a Mexican tyre major, Tornel.
