JBL is an abbreviation of James Bullough Lansing. It is an American audio equipment manufacturing and Electronics Company. Its founder is James Bullough Lansing. The name of the company is named after him. It is one of the most highly regarded and well-known brands in the audio industry. Its main products are loudspeakers and headphones and related electronics products.

- JBL Consumer
- JBL Professional
JBL Consumer manufactures audio equipment for the consumer market and JBL Professional manufactures professional audio equipment which is essential for the studio, installed sound, tour sound, production, DJ and cinema markets. JBL head office is situated at Northridge, California in the United States.

JBL Brief History
- On 14 January 1902, James Bullough Lansing was born, in Macoupin County, Illinois, U.S.
- In 1927, the foundation of Lansing Manufacturing Company was established in Los Angeles.
- In 1941, Altec Service Company gets hold of the Lansing Manufacturing Company.
- In 1946, a new company was founded; James B. Lansing (JBL) Sound Inc after Lansing left the Altec.
- In 1949, after the death of James B. Lansing, William Thomas became the new president of the company.
- In 1954, JBL launched the 375 high-frequency compression driver and 075 UHF (Ultra High Frequency) ring radiator driver.
- In 1955, the D-130 model is built-in into the amplifiers that enabled JBL to come into professional music.
- In 1969, Sidney Harman obtained the JBL from William Thomas.
- In 1970, JBL came into the studio industry and ranked first in the US recording industry survey carried out by Billboard.
- In 1973, 4300 Series was introduced, comprising the first 4-way speaker.
- In 1982, JBL launched titanium in the high-frequency diaphragms.
- In 1991, JBL engineers manufactured and produced the first pro-audio speaker based on neodymium with Array Series.
- In 2000, it launched the VerTec line Array system with Radiation Boundary Integrator.
- In 2006, it launched the VRX Constant-Curvature Line Array.
- In 2011, it created and developed the D2 dual-diaphragm Compression Driver.
- In 2012, it launched M2 Studio Monitor with Image Control Waveguide, low-TCR voice-coil woofer, and D2 driver.
