IAS: Indian Administrative Service
IAS is an abbreviation of Indian Administrative Service. It is the highest and most prominent administrative civil service of the Government of India. In Union government and public sector activities or happenings, the strategic positions and the key is carried by the IAS officers. The recruitment of IAS officers happens by the side with IRS, IFS, and IPS through the exam of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The difficulty of the examination is considered very high. IAS is one in three all India services examinations in which the other two are the Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Forest Service (IFS). The recruitment of its cadres is happened by central and state Governments. In 1946, IAS was established by law. Indian Imperial Service from 1883 to 1946 was in existence previously from IAS.

The candidate should be graduated from any renowned university to apply for this prominent job. Union Public Service Commission planned each year the exam of IAS.

- IAS officer preserves law and order and general administration in his operating region.
- IAS officer manages the daily dealings of the Government.
- IAS officer operates as Executive Magistrate, Chief Development Officer/District Development Commissioner.
