DAW: Digital Audio Workstation

DAW is an abbreviation of "Digital Audio Workstation". It is an electronic based equipment or application software, which is basically used for recording, editing, mixing, mastering and producing audio files in the music studio. The usage of this application software is in producing and recording music, songs, speech, radio, television, soundtracks, podcasts, sound effects and almost in a number of other additional condition, in which there is a requirement of complicated recorded audio.

The varieties of configurations in which DAWs are made available are in the form of a distinct application software operates on a laptop, in a consolidated entity which is capable of to operate independently with other computer hardware or software or in an extremely combined mixed arrangement of a variety of components managed and regulated by a central computer.

At present, current up to date DAWs in spite of design arrangement or configuration come with the availability of a fundamental interface, which enables the audio engineers or any other user to modify and mix numerous recordings and tracks into an absolute produced piece of work.
