DAT is an abbreviation of "Digital Audio Tape". It is a technology based playback standard that be capable of to record digital signals on tape at sampling rates equal to, in addition higher and lower in comparison to a Compact Disc at 16 bits quantization.   3. 1 & 48 KHz at 16 bits in 2 tracks
• DATs time-span are in between 15 and 180 minutes.
• DAT machines, which runs at different sample rates:
  1. At 48 kHz and 44.1 kHz sample rates move the tape at 8.15 mm/s.
  2. At 32 kHz sample rate move the tape at 4.075 mm/s

DAT Uses
