CRPF: Central Reserve Police Force
CRPF is an abbreviation of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). It is well-thought-out to be the world's largest paramilitary force which is also the largest Central Armed Police Force in India. Under the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India, it operates. Its main objective is to support the state and union territory governments in preserving law and order in their territories. Its head office is situated in New Delhi, India. The CRPF academy was founded by the government of India to prepare the young candidates who join the CRPF for security purposes. The Director-General of CRPF is Sh Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar from 2017.

CRPF Brief History
- On 27 July 1939, the Crown Representative's Police (CRP) was established and the name of CRPF is derived from it. The Crown Representative's Police protect the British people who are living in the susceptible states of India.
- In 1949, under the CRPF Act, the CRP was renamed CRPF.
- On October 21, 10 CRPF soldiers from a small patrol sacrificed their lives for the country. In their honor, October 21 is remembered as the Police Commemoration Day.
- In the 1960s, the majority of the state police battalions were combined with CRPF.
- In 1986, the first Mahila Battalion in CRPF, the 88(M) Bn was founded to organize and manage women's agitations.
- In 1992, a specialized division of CRPF (Rapid Action Force) was founded by changing 10 separated battalions of CRPF to deal with riots.
- In 2001, CRPF eradicated all the five terrorists' incorporated in the Indian Parliament attack. It was elected as the premier internal security force of India in the identical year.
- In 2008, Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), a specialized division of CRPF was founded to respond to Naxal operations.
