Swift program to implement function overloading based on the different order of arguments
Here, we are going to learn how to implement function overloading based on the different order of arguments in Swift programming language?
Submitted by Nidhi, on July 04, 2021
Problem Solution:
Here, we will create two functions with the same name but a different order of arguments to implement function overloading.
Program/Source Code:
The source code to implement function overloading based on a different order of arguments is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.
// Swift program to implement function overloading
// based on a different order of arguments
import Swift
func printNum(n1:Int,n2:Float){
print("@@@Function called@@@")
print(n1)
print(n2)
}
func printNum(n2:Float,n1:Int){
print("###Function called###")
print(n1)
print(n2)
}
printNum(n1:10,n2:20.123)
printNum(n2:20.123,n1:10)
Output:
@@@Function called@@@
10
20.123
###Function called###
10
20.123
...Program finished with exit code 0
Press ENTER to exit console.
Explanation:
In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,
import Swift
Here, we created two printNum() functions with different order of arguments to implement function overloading. Then we called both functions with some values and printed the result on the console screen.
