Scala - Iterate Set Elements (using Foreach Loop)
Here, we will create a set of integer numbers using the Set collection class. Then we will iterate set elements using the foreach loop and print them on the console screen.
Scala code to iterate set elements using the foreach loop
The source code to iterate set elements using the foreach loop is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.
// Scala program to iterate set elements
// using the foreach loop
import scala.collection.immutable._
object Sample {
// Main method
def main(args: Array[String]) {
var numbers = Set(10, 20, 30, 40, 50);
println("Set elements:");
numbers.foreach((number: Int) => println(number));
}
}
Output
Set elements:
10
20
50
40
30
Explanation
Here, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. And, we imported Collection classes using below statement,
import scala.collection.immutable._
Here, we also created a singleton object Sample and defined the main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.
In the main() function, we created a set of numbers using the Set collection class. Then we iterate elements of set numbers using the foreach loop and printed them on the console screen.
