Submitted by Nidhi, on December 04, 2021

Problem Solution:

In this program, we will perform arithmetic operations using arithmetic operators and print the result.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to demonstrate the arithmetic operators is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on UBUNTU 18.04 successfully.

# Ruby program to demonstrate the
# arithmetic operators

num1 = 5
num2 = 2

num3 = num1 + num2
puts("Addition: ",num3)

num3 = num1 - num2
puts("Subtraction: ",num3)

num3 = num1 * num2
puts("Multiplication: ",num3)

num3 = num1 / num2
puts("Division: ",num3)

num3 = num1 % num2
puts("Remainder: ",num3)

num3 = num1 ** num2
puts("Exponential: ",num3)

Output:

Addition:
7
Subtraction:
3
Multiplication:
10
Division:
2
Remainder:
1
Exponential:
25

Explanation:

In the above program, we created two variables num1, num2 that are initialized with 5, 2 respectively. Then we performed arithmetic operations and printed the result.
