Getting the reverse of the specified binary number in Golang

Problem Solution:

Here, we will find the reverse of the binary number using bits.Reverse() function, and then we print both numbers and it's reverse on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to get the reverse of the specified binary number is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

Golang code to get the reverse of the specified binary number

// Golang program to get the reverse of
// the specified binary number

package main

import (
	"fmt"
	"math/bits"
)

func main() {
	var num uint = 0

	fmt.Printf("Enter number: ")
	fmt.Scanf("%d", &num)

	fmt.Printf("Number : %064b\n", num)
	fmt.Printf("Reverse: %064b\n", bits.Reverse(num))
}

Output:

Enter number: 108
Number : 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001101100
Reverse: 0011011000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the required packages to predefined functions.

In the main() function, we created an integer variable then read the value of the variable from the user and then reverse the number using the bits.Reverse() function. After that, we printed the result on the console screen.
