Problem Solution:

Here, we will create a string variable and then get the length of the string using the count() function and print the result on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to get the length of a string is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

//Swift program to get the length of a string

var str = "Hello World"
var length = 0

length = str.count

print("Length of the string: \(length)")

Output:

Length of the string: 11

...Program finished with exit code 0
Press ENTER to exit console.

Explanation:

In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,

import Swift;

Here, we created a string str initialized with "Hello World" and got the length of the string using the count() function and printed the result on the console screen.
