Problem Solution:

In this program, we will get the current year in four digits representation using the strftime() method of Time class and print the result.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to get the current year with a century using the strftime() method is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

# Ruby program to get the current year
# with a century using strftime() method

time = Time.new();
currentYear = time.strftime("%Y");

print "Current year is: ",currentYear;

Output:

Current year is: 2022

Explanation:

In the above program, we created the object of the Time class. Then we get the current year in four digits representation using the strftime() method with "%Y" as an argument and printed the result.
