Problem Solution:

In this program, we will get the current hour of the day in the 24-hour format using the strftime() method of Time class and print the result.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to get the current hour of the day in the 24-hour format using the strftime() method is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

# Ruby program to get the current hour of the day
# in 24-hour format using strftime() method

time = Time.new();
CurrentHourOfDay = time.strftime("%H");

print "Current hour of the day in 24 hour format is: ",CurrentHourOfDay;

Output:

Current hour of the day in 24 hour format is: 10

Explanation:

In the above program, we created the object of the Time class. We got the current hour of the day in the 24-hour format using the strftime() method with "%H" as an argument and printed the result.
