Problem Solution:

In this program, we will read a number from the user. Then we will convert the given number into a complex number using the to_c() function.

The source code to convert a number into a Complex number is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

# Ruby program to convert a number 
# into a Complex number

print "Enter number: ";
num = gets.chomp.to_f;  

result = num.to_c();  

print "Complex number: ",result;

Output:

Enter number: 23.4
Complex number: 23.4+0i

Explanation:

In the above program, we read a floating-point number from the user using gets.chomp.to_f. Then we converted the given number using the to_c() function and printed the result.
