Swift program to check a set contains a specific subset

Here, we are going to learn how to check a set contains a specific subset in Swift programming language?

Problem Solution:

Here, we will create two sets of integer elements using the Set collection. Then we will check a specific set is the subset of another set or not using the isSubset() function.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to check a set contains a specific subset is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Swift program to check a set contains
// a specific subset

import Swift
var FirstSet:Set<Int>  = [1,2,3,4]
var SecondSet:Set<Int> = [2,3]

print("First set : ",FirstSet)
print("Second set: ",SecondSet)

if(SecondSet.isSubset(of: FirstSet))
{
    print("SecondSet is the subset of FirstSet")
}
else
{
    print("SecondSet is not subset of FirstSet")
}

Output:

First set :  [4, 2, 1, 3]
Second set:  [2, 3]
SecondSet is the subset of FirstSet

...Program finished with exit code 0
Press ENTER to exit console.

Explanation:

In the above program, we imported a package Swift to use the print() function using the below statement,

import Swift

Here, we created two sets FirstSet, SecondSet that contains integer elements. Then we used isSubset() function to check SecondSet is the subset of FirstSet using isSubset() function. The isSubset() function return Boolean value and then we printed the appropriate message on the console screen.
