Problem statement

In this program, we will create a Vector collection with a different types of elements. Then we will create a clone of created vector collection using the clone() method.

Java program to create a clone of a Vector collection

The source code to create a clone of a Vector collection is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Java program to create a clone of a
// Vector collection

import java.util.*;

public class Main {
  public static void main(String[] args) {
    Vector vec = new Vector();

    vec.add(10);
    vec.add(20.5);
    vec.add(true);
    vec.add("Hello World");

    Vector clone = (Vector) vec.clone();

    System.out.println("Vector vec   : " + vec);
    System.out.println("Vector clone : " + clone);
  }
}

Output

Vector vec : [10, 20.5, true, Hello World]
Vector clone : [10, 20.5, true, Hello World]

Explanation

In the above program, we imported the "java.util.*" package to use the Vector class. Here, we created a public class Main.

The Main class contains a main() method. The main() method is the entry point for the program. And, created a Vector collection vec and add elements to it. Then we created one more vector "clone" by cloning vector vec using the clone() method. After that, we printed both collections.
