How to print the group id of the current process in Golang?

In this program, we will get the group id of the current process using os.Getgid() function and print the result on the console screen.

Golang code to print the group id of the current process

The source code to print the group id of the current process is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

// Golang program to print the group id
// of the current process

package main

import "fmt"
import "os"

func main() {
	fmt.Println("Group id of current process: ", os.Getgid())
}

Output

Group id of current process: 14095

Explanation

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt, os packages then we can use a function related to the fmt and os package.

In the main() function, we got the group id of the current process using os.Getuid() function and print the result on the console screen.
