Here, we will learn how to check given Uri is accessed through gopher protocol? Here we will use a static property UriSchemeGopher of Uri class that specifies Uri is accessed through gopher protocol. UriSchemeGopher is a read-only property. And we use an instance property Scheme of the Uri class which is used to get the scheme name for the URI.

Both properties return string values. Scheme property can generate InvalidOperationException.

Program:

The source code to check whether a given Uri is accessed through Gopher protocol is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

using System;

class UriExample
{
    //Entry point of Program
    static public void Main()
    {
        Uri uriAddress = new Uri("gopher://www.includehelp.com/");

        Console.WriteLine(uriAddress.Scheme);
        Console.WriteLine(Uri.UriSchemeGopher);

        if (uriAddress.Scheme == Uri.UriSchemeGopher)
            Console.WriteLine("Given Uri is access through gopher protocol");
    }
}

Output:

gopher
gopher
Given Uri is access through gopher protocol
